I began my journey into health and wellbeing at a very young age. Having been diagnosed with severe allergies as a child, I was propelled into the never ending field of research, seeking answers about health and what true health actually looks and feels like. I knew it was not in the traditional form of a prescription pill but rather supporting the body’s own innate intelligence and working with it not against it.
I grew up in the beautiful town of Bellingen NSW where alternative therapies and lifestyles were the norm by the mid 80’s. As a child I was exposed to naturopaths, osteopaths, chiropractic, herbalists and other natural healing modalities which was to have a significant impact on my later career. After an exhilarating career as a professionally trained ballet/contemporary dancer which gave me a deep understanding of the physical body I decided it was time to formalise my knowledge in regards to health and dive deeper into the mind- body connection.
Whilst travelling the west coast of America I came across Ayurveda and its deep science regarding healing the body. It offered the answers to what I had been seeking regarding modern day health issues and the roots of dis-ease.
I completed my Advanced Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine with Dr Ajit Singh, Australasia’s leading doctor in Ayurvedic medicine. Also as part of my own professional development I participated in a several week immersion in India called Panchakarma. This is the ultimate mind-body healing experience for detoxifying the body, strengthening the immune system, and restoring balance and well-being. It is one the most effective healing modalities in Ayurvedic Medicine. This was a life changing experience for me that reinforced my commitment to the Ayurvedic philosophy.
Ayurveda is a way of life which offers fundamental guidelines for longevity and a happy life. I feel blessed to be able to share the wisdom of Ayurveda with my clients and help them on their journey of health and vibrant well being.
