When you book a consultation at Sun Centre Ayurveda it is equivalent to a full health assessment. Sunday will evaluate your physiology and physiognomy  through extensive observation and questioning.  Particular attention is also given to tongue analysis and pulse diagnosis. Sunday will determine the cause of imbalance and provide an extensive report to help you remove causative factors. A specialised tailored program will be sent to you with recommended dietary changes, appropriate daily regimes and herbal preparations specific for your condition.

Shirodhara

This treatment induces deep relaxation leaving one in a state of meditation. A continuous flow of medicated oil is poured at a specific temperature from a specific height onto the third eye area, The warm medicated oil helps to calm an aggravated nervous system, thus restoring the nervous function and removing feelings of helplessness, depression or the dull feeling we sometimes get. Basti Treatments

A muscular-skeletal treatment to help eliminate pain in the joints, lower back and other ailments of the abdomen such as; Irritable bowel syndrome and menstrual pain. This technique uses medicated oils heated to a specific temperature, placed on a specific area on the body for a specific time period. This treatment is followed by steam to aid further penetration of the oil and herbs. A basti treatment is performed on the lower, mid, thoracic and cervical spine. They also include shoulders (frozen shoulder), knees and elbows (tennis elbow).

Medication for the eyes. A traditional Ayurvedic eye treatment to enhance eye sight, counter fatigue and heaviness in the eyes & slow retinal deterioration. Is a specialised massage treatment using a particular rice cooked in milk then made into a pouch (bolus) and used to massage the body with. This treatment is best for inflammation in the body. Ear Candling

This gentle method enables the removal of excess wax and toxins from inside the ears and eustachian tubes. A long tapered cone usually made of cotton dipped in beeswax is inserted into the ears and lit. The heat creates a vacuum and gently extracts any excess wax or blockage and deposits it into the cone. This treatment helps with excess wax, glue ear sinus irritations, colds flu, pressure in ear from excess flying and tinnitus.
